Meet Your Future NeighborsAs a Compensation Manager at Nextdoor, you’ll design intuitive compensation programs that empower managers to reward high performers and recruiters to diverse, top talent. In this role, you’ll partner across multiple teams to design new hire offers, run merit and promotion cycles, and partner closely with business leaders to craft compensation policies that allow Nextdoor to grow internationally.Â

- Partner closely with the Global Compensation Lead to define and evolve our approach to total compensation as we enter our next phase of growth
- Build compensation structures and help determine where we should position relative to the market internationally
- Partner with recruiting to create new hire compensation packages that are competitive externally and internally
- Design and develop reporting capabilities that create cross company visibility into pay equity, pay relative to target, historical compensation progression, etc.
- Create tools that allow Managers, People Business Partners, and Recruiters to operate within a well-defined compensation framework
- Partner with Information Systems to bring employee compensation data to our HR team (Workday), Finance (ADP), and Counsel (Shareworks)
- Assist with semi-annual merit and promotion cycles, including planning, analysis, execution, and auditing
- Work with finance to budget and track annual cash and equity spend
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing global compensation programs that cover cash and equity
- Deep analytical skills to develop sophisticated reports and metrics
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and proven ability to build and maintain complex models
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research, draw conclusions, and present findings to audiences including Executive team
- Experience coaching Recruiters, Managers, and People Business Partners on how to understand, frame, and discuss total compensation with current and prospective employees
- Experience with Workday and its compensation module
- Experience valuing/modeling equity at a fast growing company
- Experience working with multiple cross functional teams and prioritizing deliverables
