Roblox is seeking a Compensation Business Partner reporting to the Director of Broad based Compensation. You will be the subject matter expert and drive the broad-based compensation program while ensuring Roblox's compensation is competitive, meaningful, performance-oriented, clearly communicated, and aligned with business priorities. This position is critical to delivering an exceptional portfolio of programs and services that inspire our employees.

You will:

  • Be the primary compensation partner to recruiting teams, HRBPs and business unit leaders by combining in-depth knowledge of compensation principles, understanding of the business and market landscape
  • Lead and develop innovative compensation strategies to support the attraction and retention of top talent while reflecting market conditions, internal equity, a strong pay for performance philosophy and the company's priorities
  • Support and advice on comp related activities: new hire offers, analysis of recruiting data trends, promotions, transfers, international employees/contractors, performance calibrations & compensation, etc
  • Work in a culture of continuous analytics and monitoring of current programs to find areas to improve and align with strategic priorities so that compensation is part of the proposition that can attract, engage, and retain top talent.
  • Review and conduct annual benchmarking of our jobs to ensure a great compensation package ranges
  • Help implement all ongoing compensation programs and tools; provide leaders with deep insights to guide sound compensation decisions.
  • Continuously review the current job architecture and systematic job leveling approach for the business that enables us to better support hiring, career growth, job evaluation ultimately leading to great compensation packages
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure appropriate budgets are set for compensation programs

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of corporate and/or consulting compensation experience ideally with some exposure to technical/digital profiles, showing progression and leadership
  • Strong expertise in different compensation models, structure, and vehicles
  • Knowledge of industry trends and developments in compensation, including relevant legal issues
  • Familiarity with a number of different benchmarking surveys and approaches as well as job evaluation
  • Communicating to an audience of senior executives and partners
  • Experience with Sales Compensation Design, Talent analytics and data visualization, Job architecture

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range

$201,000—$235,000 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
