The Manager of Compensation is an integral member of the Human Resources team responsible for managing compensation incentive plans within multiple companies in a private equity portfolio. The Compensation Manager plans, develops and implements new compensation programs, policies and procedures to align competitive practices with company goals and leads ongoing administration and the evolution of our plans. This position is also responsible for ensuring that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations.

What You Will Do:

  • Plans, design, and administer short-term and long-term key employee equity programs that drive company performance. 
  • Directs, designs, and plans compensation policies, objectives, and initiatives with a heavy emphasis on sales commission plans. 
  • Drive organization-wide projects from end to end including strategy, execution, and communication activities.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for all compensation-related matters and maintain a strong knowledge of current compensation market trends, regulations, and laws.
  • Participate in the development, design, and maintenance of the job evaluation process, including conducting salary benchmarking, creating salary ranges, and providing recommendations
  • Analyze internal and external market data to address compensation-related needs; prepare and present recommendations
  • Work closely with senior management and leaders across the organization to manage and evolve related to pay and rewards programs.
  • Facilitate the annual compensation planning process and administration of the annual merit and bonus calculations
  • Work in close coordination with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure that employee compensation attracts key talent.
  • Oversee all compensation-related tools and identify areas of process improvement to enhance the compensation program, as applicable.
  • Lead compensation compliance with legal and contractual requirements at the federal, state, and local level where the companies have employees.
  • Direct the preparation and distribution of comprehensive communication to employees, including written communication regarding compensation and benefits. Devise training to promote understanding and the ability to communicate rewards strategies and processes

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in incentive compensation, commission, and executive compensation plan design and administration.
  • Prior experience working as a compensation consultant.
  • Experience designing and administering sales commission plans. 
  • Experience building compensation & job structures, as well as conducting market benchmarking.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate with stakeholders at multiple levels in multiple functions both individually and within a team to provide the best solution for the business
  • Comfort working in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, results-oriented work environment.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, partnering, and leadership skills; approachable and responsive.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to communicate both qualitative and quantitative data effectively.
  • Initiative, resilience, precision, and flexibility amidst a high volume of time-sensitive projects.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and MS Office product suite, and track record of  building and participating in management presentations.
  • A strong understanding of HR Technology Systems and Compensation Tools.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Master’s Degree in a Human Resources, Business or related field.
  • Additional preferred credential(s): CCP, CEP
  • Experience using the Looker and Snowflake BI and data analytics platforms, CaptivateIQ sales commission management software.
The base salary range represents the anticipated salary range for this position. The actual base salary offered within the range will depend on numerous factors including the individual’s skills, experience, performance, and the location where work is performed. In addition to base salary, this position qualifies for an annual bonus subject to the terms outlined in the company's bonus plan. Full-time employees hired into this position are eligible for health care benefits shown here. 
Base Salary Range
$120,000—$135,000 USD
