Job Description

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, manage, coordinate, and support the implementation of NOV's Competency Management System (CMS) in the business group.
  • Assist business groups in identifying Competency KPIs for various roles & functions
  • Support business group's site/facility locations and provide guidance on best practices
  • Provide regular reports to management on progress and competency achievements including communications with stakeholders
  • Provide training as required (e.g., Competency Awareness Training for all levels within the organization, Standardized Assessor Training)
  • Actively support and develop assessors and sites within the business group.
  • Create and maintain Competency Records in accordance with NOV's Assessment & Quality Assurance Strategy
  • Conduct global instructor-led and computer/virtual training sessions to both large and small groups, resulting in trained and qualified assessors
  • Update and customize training material to meet the need of each audience
  • Ensures records, practices, and processes of competency system align with the standards set by awarding bodies and NOV.
  • Monitor assessor practice using different monitoring methods
  • Help maintain and improve the NOV Competency Management System
  • Assist in the maintenance of external competency accreditations (as required)
  • Prepare for and lead internal and external audits (Customer / Accrediting body / Internal)
  • Partner closely with HRBPs and people managers
  • Participate in actions which promote a safety and quality culture within NOV
  • Comply with all NOV Company and Quality, Health Safety Environmental polices & procedures
  • Ensure compliance of the company's overall objectives
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent undergraduate degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years direct work experience
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Advanced level of competence in the application of standards, processes, and procedures and how they are used in work execution
  • Desirable - Assessor Award and/or Verifier Award (Can obtain these during employment)
