Competitive Intelligence Analyst

You, as the Competitive Intelligence Analyst, will be an industry expert responsible for maintaining a deep understanding of the competitive landscape across the threat intelligence and application security market categories. As the authoritative source of competitive intelligence for the company you will use a combination of primary and secondary research to source and then deliver cross-functionally. Working closely with marketing, sales, and product management, you will deliver recurring updates on market movements, and competitive changes, while offering new positioning narratives and messaging, as well as be an expert voice to the market to raise company visibility across the threat intelligence, application security, and DevSecOps domains. You will report to our Head of Product Marketing located in Cambridge, MA.

- Become company's go-to expert on our competition and related market movements
- Create content that enables sales, marketing, development and executives to understand tradeoffs of technology decisions
- Provide input that will be used at a strategic product level to drive product definition and prioritization decisions
- Tirelessly comb public sources of intelligence while working with analysts and customers to collect critical sets of competitive intelligence
- Distill complex technical assessments into actionable sales intelligence and enablement
- Track market movement, investment, hiring, and M&A activities that may impact our business
- Conduct post sales win/loss analysis interviews, document and organize learnings, and translate to actionable insights
- Deliver intelligence in a variety of formats from slides, sales tools, and battlecards
- Serve as an external spokesperson with customers, analysts, press, and key influencers - build relationships and become a trusted source of valuable information
- Present at industry conferences, key events, and leading podcasts
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of marketing or sales experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business or related field
- Must demonstrate an ability to explain complex concepts in simple-to-understand, and impactful language
- Must have a solid understanding of threat intelligence and application security markets, products, challenges, vendors, and technologies
- A natural storyteller, someone who understands and appreciates the need to share complicated topics in new and compelling ways to appeal to a broader audience.
- Looks forward to working cross functionally with sales, marketing, product and executive teams
- Some startup experience preferred
