Works under broad supervision, directly with compliance program owners to support key compliance programs such as, consumer complaints, regulatory activities, changes to laws and regulations, records management, privacy, whistleblower hotline, conflicts of interest, and economic sanctions. Role will require regular interaction with internal business partners and state regulatory agencies.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:

• Responsible for daily handling of sanctions alerts including interacting with business partners and investigating whether alerts require further action.
• Responsible for managing 50+ insurance portals and other intake channels for management of consumer complaints and regulatory activities received into the company.
• Improves compliance program documentation and tracking through process coordination with business partners and compliance team members.
• Supports business partner implementation and usage of compliance processes.
• Assists in the improvement of compliance tools and programs for the department and business partners.
• Prepares compliance reports for management.
• Provides compliance or technical support for business or corporate strategic initiatives.
• Explains facts, policies and practices related to compliance.

May perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Good knowledge of insurance principles, practices and procedures.
• Good understanding of process development and process improvement techniques and methodologies.
• Good understanding of project management practices and procedures.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to recognize standard situations and issues. Creativity in resolving routine and standard business problems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business related software systems.
• Ability to travel.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Up to two years related work experience.
