What you’ll do

We are seeking a Compliance Analyst in New York to join the Canvas Compliance team. In this role, you will work as a member of the Canvas Compliance team supporting Canvas FRG, LLC, a primary research group within Point72.  Specifically, you will:

  • Main point of contact for Compliance related items for Canvas Research Analysts;
  • Conduct on-boarding due diligence of new consultants to Canvas FRG, LLC and annual re-reviews;
  • Chaperone consultant calls for Canvas Research Analysts and document accordingly;
  • Monitor communications between Canvas Research Analyst interactions with discretionary investment professionals;
  • Monitor and notate chaperoned calls in proprietary compliance management system, track consultants to ensure appropriate chaperone coverage;
  • Facilitate quarterly invoicing and payment with the finance department in compliance with applicable data privacy law;
  • Participate in Compliance training for Canvas Research Analysts; and
  • Brainstorm and implement ideas for enhancing compliance oversight improvement and more efficient processes.
  • Monitor and stay current on applicable laws, regulatory initiatives, and case law
  • Recommend and draft enhancements to policies and procedures

What’s required

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated professional to join our team with the opportunity to learn and grow. Specifically, you will need:

  • 1-4 years of experience in financial services preferably in compliance
  • GPA 3.0 or greater
  • Attention to detail and the tenacity to produce meticulous work product
  • To be highly organized, process driven, and structured with the ability to work independently as well as a teammate
  • The ability to juggle multiple priorities at once under pressure, prioritize such tasks and see each through to completion
  • Exceptional reading and writing skills, as well as outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards

The annual base salary range for this role is $90,000-110,000, which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
