Compliance Coordinator - Compliance Specialist
Job Description
THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT ATTEMPT TO LIST ALL OF THE DUTIES THAT ARE OR MAY BE PERFORMED IN THIS POSITION Primary Duties.1. Coordinates responses to regulatory citations and audits. Works closely with Compliance and Operations to research background information for responses.2. Assists management and supervisors with researching and gathering information from various detailed technical/compliance records for summaries, monthly or ad hoc reports, and annual regulatory filings or audits.3. Prepares compliance projects in the company's project creation system under the direction of the compliance staff.4. Ensures that regulatory permits, Right of Way agreements, and railroad leases are filed properly and documented correctly in the proper company system or file.5. Maintains files or reports to support compliance activities. Communicates compliance needs and status reports to supervisors.6. Provides training and/or assistance in the use of various Engineering systems.7. Assists with project coding, project completion, project unitization, mass asset retirements, and third party damage. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Educational/Experience LevelRequires Associate's degree and one year of relevant experience; orRequires high school education or the equivalent and three years compliance experience.Communication SkillsRequires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and build consensus with internal and external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations, and modifications, on technical or other complex concepts.Numeric SkillsRequires the ability to perform analysis, involving ratios, percentages, and simple statistical methods.Computer SkillsRequires proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook) to create documents, reports, graphs, presentations and emails.Work ConditionsPrimary job responsibilities require work inside and outside an office environment.Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.Other RequirementsOvernight travel may be required.
