We are seeking a Compliance Lead - Monitoring and Audits to join the monitoring team in carrying out certain critical compliance management program elements! In this role, the Compliance Lead will work cross-functionally to manage key bank partner monitoring activities and Bank Partner audit engagement. This includes leading various projects simultaneously, investigating, responding to, and escalating monitoring alerts, engaging key partners, and reporting on project progress. This is a highly visible role that will require this person to engage with various partners internally and externally.

What You'll Do
  • Serves as a functional liaison between the Bank Partner and the Compliance Monitoring Team
  • Identifies, responds, and/or escalates risks as appropriate
  • Provides clear and accurate communication, promoting project transparency to team members
  • Participates in projects and/or activities that ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Assist with coordinating internal and external audit/exam activities.
  • Supports team in project planning/road mapping
  • Partners with functionally focused compliance team members to identify compliance requirements and areas of potential vulnerability and risk identified by Bank Partners
  • Supports other key compliance and risk management projects as needed

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of regulatory compliance oversight or auditing experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects of varying sizes and complexities and impact
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures
  • Strong project management, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Ability to solve problems and handle a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Able to contribute to the big picture, conceptualize outcomes, and identify trends
  • A strong curiosity about fintech and consumer finance
  • Demonstrated experience as a key contributing member of a team with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Ability to communicate complex and sensitive issues to management or broader teams
