This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Compliance Manager in the United States.
This role offers the opportunity to lead compliance initiatives in a mission-driven, remote-first behavioral health environment. You will safeguard regulatory integrity across clinical, operational, and billing functions, while translating complex healthcare laws into practical guidance for cross-functional teams. The Compliance Manager will conduct investigations, manage provider licensure reporting, and design scalable policies that balance risk with organizational mission. This position requires a collaborative approach, strong analytical skills, and the ability to identify systemic risks to foster continuous improvement. You will have direct impact on maintaining a culture of ethical accountability and expanding safe, compliant access to behavioral health services nationwide.
Accountabilities:
- Lead end-to-end compliance and ethics investigations, providing strategic guidance to Clinical, Business Operations, and Billing teams
- Develop, implement, and maintain scalable compliance policies and procedures that balance risk and organizational goals
- Ensure adherence to federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS guidance, and OIG compliance program guidance
- Manage provider licensure board reporting and related regulatory obligations
- Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify systemic issues and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate cross-functionally to advise on compliance concerns, support investigations, and provide actionable recommendations
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, investigations, and findings, supporting transparency and accountability
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, including policy development, regulatory interpretation, and program implementation
- 3+ years conducting or supporting compliance investigations
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- Experience collaborating with business partners and legal teams on compliance and risk matters
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex regulations in a clear, actionable way
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations including HIPAA, CMS guidance, and OIG compliance program guidance
- Preferred: Master’s or Juris Doctor, telehealth/behavioral health compliance experience, healthcare compliance certification, and experience with EHR, Salesforce, or Zendesk systems
