Job Description
Reporting to the EMAP Compliance Monitoring Manager, the Compliance Monitoring Officer is responsible for undertaking risk-based compliance oversight and testing across the EMAP business in line with the Global Compliance Management Programme (CMP) and the annual EMAP Compliance Monitoring Plan.
Qualifications
- BCompt/Bcom (Internal Audit)
- Professional Audit qualification (i.e. SAIPA, SAICA, ACCA, CIA, CISA)
- Audit articles or 3 years verifiable audit experience
- Compliance experience in the financial sector
- Experience in liaising with regulators will be an advantage
Additional Information
What you will be doing:
- Execute and complete planned compliance reviews in accordance with the plan and within allotted time frames
- Identify the scope and testing approach for compliance reviews
- Build and execute tests for compliance controls
- Conduct fieldwork in line with the test plan
- Work with business owners and management to agree on appropriate action plans
- Write reports which include presentation of test results, the rationale for findings, risks posed, and action required to address the risks
- Track agreed actions through to conclusion and report on progress upon completion of reviews
- Escalate high risk issues
- Use of Issue Management System (Archer) to maintain an organised and accurate system of records designed to keep management informed of key performance indicators and deliverable dates
- Maintain a broad knowledge of the business and regulatory framework in which Experian operates
- Support the organisation as subject matter experts in compliance auditing, testing, and monitoring, upholding the highest standard of compliance, integrity, and professionalism, both internally and externally
