Job Description

Reporting to the EMAP Compliance Monitoring Manager, the Compliance Monitoring Officer is responsible for undertaking risk-based compliance oversight and testing across the EMAP business in line with the Global Compliance Management Programme (CMP) and the annual EMAP Compliance Monitoring Plan.

Qualifications

  • BCompt/Bcom (Internal Audit)
  • Professional Audit qualification (i.e. SAIPA, SAICA, ACCA, CIA, CISA)
  • Audit articles or 3 years verifiable audit experience
  • Compliance experience in the financial sector
  • Experience in liaising with regulators will be an advantage

Additional Information

What you will be doing: 

  • Execute and complete planned compliance reviews in accordance with the plan and within allotted time frames
  • Identify the scope and testing approach for compliance reviews
  • Build and execute tests for compliance controls
  • Conduct fieldwork in line with the test plan
  • Work with business owners and management to agree on appropriate action plans
  • Write reports which include presentation of test results, the rationale for findings, risks posed, and action required to address the risks
  • Track agreed actions through to conclusion and report on progress upon completion of reviews
  • Escalate high risk issues
  • Use of Issue Management System (Archer) to maintain an organised and accurate system of records designed to keep management informed of key performance indicators and deliverable dates
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of the business and regulatory framework in which Experian operates
  • Support the organisation as subject matter experts in compliance auditing, testing, and monitoring, upholding the highest standard of compliance, integrity, and professionalism, both internally and externally
