Compliance Program Specialist
Job Description
The Ethics & Compliance team is located within the Legal Depa rtment. The team manages various topics related to the holistic Celonis Ethics & Compliance Program, including the Celonis Code of Conduct, the ethics complaint helpline, the global Celonis Privacy Program and initiatives in connection to quality management.
The Role:
As a Compliance Program Specialist you will contribute to the optimization and scaling of the Celonis Ethics & Compliance Program. This is inclusive of, but not limited to, evaluating organizational risk, enhancing programs and processes, assisting in mitigation strategies, monitoring and reporting, improvement efforts, development of employee training and engagement materials, assisting with compliance investigations and internal audits and building meaningful relationships to influence ethical business practices and compliance standards amongst departments. The work you'll do:
- Collaborate cross-functionally to design and implement best-in-class, scalable programs and processes to maximize compliance with relevant laws and policies, such as anti-bribery, anti-corruption, data privacy and avoiding conflicts of interest
- Assist with performing ongoing risk assessments and proactively recommend and implement continuous improvements to policies and procedures that remediate gaps and deficiencies and promote the company's goals
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of the ethics & compliance program
- Conduct proactive internal audits, track metrics and prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership
- Drive the development and implementation of a global education and training plan for compliance, including preparation and conducting of some trainings and improving processes for tracking completion of trainings
- Assist with implementation of conflict of interest program, reviewing and tracking of potential conflicts, and management of results and approvals
- Assist with investigations and documentation regarding possible violations of law or Code of Conduct and related policies
- Support the enhancement and management of third-party due diligence and sanctions screening process
- Lead efforts to encourage a culture for employees to raise concerns or questions about ethics and compliance issues
- Maintain working knowledge of laws, regulations, industry standards, best practices and trends regarding ethics & compliance programs
- Develop FAQs and other "self-service" education and awareness materials on ethics and compliance topics
- Support other compliance-related projects (incl. data privacy) as required
- Handle all ethics and compliance matters with sensitivity and maintain strict confidentiality of all work material and activities
The qualifications you need:
- A bachelor degree or equivalent with emphasis on law, ethics and compliance, privacy, business administration, business law, quality management or a related field
- 2+ years of professional experience in the area of compliance, risk management, legal, regulatory compliance, or internal audit
- Working in multinational company's compliance or legal department preferred
- Experience developing and implementing compliance/training programs preferred
- Understanding of general business compliance requirements and data privacy principles
- Demonstrated ability to translate policies, rules and requirements into practical and actionable elements
- Experience working cross-functionally and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to pragmatically weigh risks and benefits of situations to provide pragmatic, creative, collaborative and solution-oriented support throughout the company globally
- Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills with ability to provide clear guidance that influences internal stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to prioritize, organize and work efficiently and independently in a high-volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, and results-oriented environment
- Proactive, flexible, responsive and resourceful
- Detailed-oriented with excellent follow-through skills to drive projects to closure with high level of autonomy
- Excellent interpersonal skills with solid understanding of the importance of relationship-building
- An "always learning" mentality, with a desire to develop
