This position is responsible for ensuring compliance of the Warranty business unit to service contract and insurance regulatory requirements.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert for Warranty business unit on matters related to compliance and regulatory. Provide guidance and recommendations to the team on existing and potential business opportunities.
- Conduct and document regulatory research on insurance policy and service contract requirements and state statutes
- Review policies, service contract forms, marketing materials and other documents to ensure they are accurate, complete and in compliance with any and all regulations.
- Communicate effectively with external and internal clients and facilitate the review and edit process of compliance documents
- Work with internal and outside counsel to expand on and maintain Service Contract and Insurance Policy knowledge both domestic and international
- Stays current on federal and state legislation and issues, as well as, industry and business activity and trends
- Own process for ensuring Warranty business unit initiates and completes required filings when applicable
- Provide support, recommendations and guidance to the Warranty Operations and Underwriting teams for the development and completion of Client Audits
- Issue policies and maintain listing of policy forms and amendments, including those in-use/issued and those available, file new policy forms through internal policy system

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Solid technical knowledge of corporate regulatory compliance practices with a preference for specific insurance related compliance knowledge.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to effectively resolve moderately complex situations and issues.
- Excellent project management, organization and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners.
- Ability to achieve results by taking a proactive and strategic view of business goals and objectives.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software systems, including processing systems and applications.
Education & Experience
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Professional designations preferred.
2. Typically a minimum of eight years Compliance experience.
