Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Specialist to enhance our risk management and compliance efforts. This position is essential for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and safeguarding our organization against risks such as corruption, trade sanctions, and data privacy issues. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in refining our compliance processes and aligning with our strategic objectives. The position is based in India Mumbai office and would be reporting locally to Legal Operations Sr. Leader and with a central reporting to risk and compliance director based in Paris headquarters. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Strengthen KYC/KYS Guidelines: 
• Refine and enhance Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Supplier (KYS) processes. 
• Conduct thorough due diligence on third parties to meet regulatory standards. 
• Identify and mitigate compliance risks associated with third-party relationships. 
• Support GDPR Compliance: 
• Run remote controls, conduct reviews and audits to ensure adherence to data privacy regulations. 
• Collaborate with relevant teams to implement and monitor data protection measures. 
• Improve Overall Efficiency: 
• Centralize compliance efforts to streamline processes and enhance effectiveness. 
• Work closely with the Risk and Compliance Director to foster a cohesive strategy for managing compliance risks. 
• Provide insights and recommendations for improving compliance procedures. 
• Collaborate Across Teams: 
• Engage with internal stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance and risk awareness. 
• Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training and awareness programs. 

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in law or business administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certification in compliance is a plus. 
• Proven experience in compliance, risk management, or a related area, preferably in a corporate environment preferably for 4-5 years. 
• Strong understanding of KYC/KYS regulations and GDPR requirements. 
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. 
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
