Component Production Technician

Position Summary:

The Component Production Technician performs a variety of tasks to ensure that components (Panels, Floors, Roof) are made efficiently and safely, while maintaining quality standards.  

Essential Responsibilities:

• Safely produce trusses and wall panels which meet or exceed industry standards for quality.
• Cut, set up, assemble, sort, rack, mark and band roof trusses and wall panels per given specifications.
• Place finished goods in their assigned bundle or on the designated pallet.
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
• Meet reasonable production guidelines.
• Maintain safe and clean production area.
• Responsible for adhering to all safety rules.
• Other duties as assigned.

Other Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Education/Credentials- High school diploma or its equivalent preferred 
• Training- Forklift, Machinery preferred 
• Experience- 1-2 years of previous experience preferred
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities- Proven ability to apply math, writing, and language skills

Compensation and Benefits information: Van Metre offers excellent benefits, and a work environment that fosters and rewards excellence. • Salary: $19.50 - $23.00 hourly (Pay is commensurate with experience, education, training, and skills)
