1. The Component Specialist reviews loans to assess risk in compliance with company guidelines and state and federal reporting guideline and approve or declines loans.

2. Responsible for ensuring data integrity to confirm the accuracy of automated underwriting findings.

3. Adheres to internal underwriting guidelines, investor requirements and federal regulations to ensure loan quality.

4. Verifies and analyzes all documentation, including: credit, income, appraisal and title information.

5. Responsible for interacting with Mortgage Professionals or loan processors to obtain information from the borrower or to seek clarification about documents in the loan file.

6. Effectively communicates required conditions/stipulation and assists where possible to expedite the verified approval on purchase loans.

7. Strictly adheres to all applicable internal NPI policies, procedures, and protects confidentiality of borrower information.

8. Performs administrative duties, as required, by Management.
