This is a Title 5 Excepted Service position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

AOC D: All Service Members of the Pennsylvania National Guard
AOC E: Federal Employees in an Agency outside of the Pennsylvania National Guard
AOC F: U.S. Citizen Applicants

TEMPORARY PROMOTION/REASSIGNMENT: Currently employed permanent technician selected will occupy this position as a Promotion not to exceed or Reassignment as appropriate in their present status.


INDEFINITE: Indefinite employment status pertains to applicant nominated, who are not a currently employed permanent technician. Indefinite appointments may acquire permanent status depending upon future force structure requirements; indefinite appointments do not serve a trial period. Indefinite appointments may be separated when their services are no longer needed or when funding is no longer available via a 30-day termination notice.

Supervisor for this position is CW4 Richard Hill.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, training, or education which demonstrates the applicant's ability to follow directions, procedures, or systematic work methods which gives evidence of the candidate's ability to perform this work. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Application must indicate 24 months experience maintaining continuity of production control; coordinating workload priorities and scheduling multiple requirements. Experience applying optional methods to new or developmental requirements and provide for program dependencies and priorities. Experience identifying computer requirements or techniques associated with the development and design of data processing systems. Experience in planning and programming requirements related to computer systems or applications.

QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
