Computer Literacy Trainer

Position Responsibilities

• Teaching assigned computer literacy classes
• Planning, developing and implementing lesson plans
• Developing and coordinating special activities and programs for computer learners
• Creating a supportive learning environment that fosters participation and interaction
• Working with individual learners to help them achieve their learning goals
• Assisting with testing, enrollment, and orientation processes
• Assisting in the development of academic and other resources/activities to enhance to promote adult learner success
• Providing appropriate data and related reports, including attendance, program updates, and outcomes
• Provide a supportive environment that fosters learner participation and interaction
• Develop and maintain a learning environment appropriate for adult learners
• Moderate computer-based ESL training program

General responsibilities

• Continually evaluate processes and make/recommend improvements
• Assist with special projects as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School diploma, a College degree is preferable
• At least one and preferably two to five years of experience teaching adults or other classroom experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Gmail and Google docs suite
• Experience with Zoom platform
• Familiarity with or demonstrated ability to quickly acquire new digital tools (e.g. SharePoint)
• Prioritize and handle multiple requests in a timely and accurate fashion
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
