Computer Scientist

KBR is hiring a Computer Scientist in Reston, VA. The Scientist is responsible for one or more aspects of the design, planning, coordination, development, testing, integration, deconfliction, and deployment of secure communication, sensor systems, and support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expertise for scripting process and database coding to integrate to embedded systems.
• Provide expertise for the application of mathematics theory, computational techniques and computing technologies to science, engineering, and information sciences
• Provide expertise in diverse specialties to include algorithm design and analysis, artificial intelligence, architecture, and parallel computing systems; bioinformatics and computational biology; database and information systems manipulation and exploitation; graphics and human computer interface, programming and software engineering; scientific computing; and systems and networking to include mobile, wireless, ad-hoc networks and sensor networks

• Work closely with Project Managers, team members, and government personnel to service customer's implementation and consulting needs

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
• 11+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with Linux, Windows, and microprocessors
• Demonstrated specialty in distributed systems networking including operating systems, security architectures and real-time and embedded subsystems.
• Experience with multiple simulation codes.
• Expertise with current and legacy common scientific computing programming languages and programming models.
• Knowledge of High-Performance Computing and parallel programming techniques (e.g. MPI, OpenMP), in multiple physical science domains is preferred.

Travel: CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required. (10%)

Security Requirements: Active TS/SCI security clearance w/ Poly
