About the Team
Applied Vision team aims to empower business and optimize products with content understanding as the core driver. We carry out research, develop technology and for each scenario, provide a complete content understanding solution and capability matrix. From the perspective of technology and product, we not only provide several standard technical capability, but also go deep into business. Starting from user requests, we incubate solutions and capability matrices that are close to users and scenes. From a technical perspective, all capabilities share basic technologies. From a product perspective, we take technology as the starting point to provide business-oriented solutions.

Responsibilities
- Conduct cutting-edge research in the fields of computer vision and machine learning;
- Ensure technologies get successfully applied to ByteDance's products;
- Incubate new products with computer vision and machine learning technologies.

Qualifications

1. Master's degree or above in Computer Science or equivalent majors
2. Research experience in but not limited to the following areas (as main authors of published papers at CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, etc.):
- Image/video search
- Image/video classification/understanding
- Object detection, segmentation, and tracking
- Scene understanding
- Facial analysis
- Pose and gesture
- 3D vision
3. Highly competent in algorithms and programming, prefer winners in ACMICPC, NOI/IOI, Top coder and Kaggle;
4. Ability to work and collaborate well with team members;
5. Ability to work independently
