Concept Artist (Monsters/Creatures)

We are seeking a skilled Concept Artist to join our team and help make fantastic games! We are looking for a Creature/Monster Concept Artist who can help drive the look and design for our characters and monsters. You will help define the visual language for the game. We're looking for a dynamic candidate who can thrive in a collaborative and iterative environment that is focused on pushing the boundaries of our genre to the next level.

• Create high quality creature/monster concepts to inspire and guide the team
• Work closely with Art Director and Character Lead to maintain artistic cohesion across all concept and final assets
• Collaborate with character artists, designers, and animators to take the concepts to final
• Communicate effectively with the team to fulfill the game's visual goals

• Strong sense of visual design - including form, perspective, materials, and lighting
• Familiarity with current and future trends with regard to creating game assets
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong autonomy, and ability to maintain high quality and consistent progress without constant supervision
• Attention to detail and creative problem solving

• Some proficiency in 3D modeling packages (basic modeling okay!)
• High proficiency in 2D art creation/manipulation packages, including but not limited to Photoshop
• Ability to concept a variety of subjects and styles of execution
• Shipped one or more AAA titles on multiple platforms

The estimated base pay range for this role is:

$82,000—$140,000 USD
