About the Role:

As a Concept Prototype Systems Engineer you'll be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge user experiences for our concept vehicles and UX buck. You'll bridge the gap between visionary design and technical implementation, creating the future of luxury electric mobility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop specifications for UX prototypes and concept vehicles
  • Design and implement electrical system architecture and custom software for showcars and concept cars
  • Manage 3rd party to build prototype or code
  • Validate complex electrical and communication systems
  • Prototype innovative wiring and software solutions for concept vehicles
  • Assess system capabilities and optimize performance
  • Create seamless interfaces between prototype systems and vehicle architecture
  • Support debugging and problem-solving for control systems
  • Manage configuration and software updates for Design Studio vehicles
  • Collaborate on OTA software upgrades and deployment

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in automotive controller or prototype integration
  • Strong understanding of circuit design, mechanical systems, and ECU communication
  • Proficiency in programming (Shell Scripting, Javascript, Python) and Protopie
  • Experience with OS/Linux setup and configuration
  • Familiarity with engineering tools like Vector PREEvision
  • Knowledge of failure analysis methodologies (FMEA, fault trees)
  • Hands-on experience with EV systems, integration testing, and wiring
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex systems
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

 

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$145,600$200,200 USD
