Concrete Carpenter

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Set Up Form Carpenters to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and a variety of skills related to concrete work. This role involves working on various construction sites, assisting with the preparation, pouring, and finishing of concrete structures. The Concrete Set Up Form Carpenter will collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards. Must have knowledge and experience with setting forms for steps, bleachers, etc.. Responsibilities • Assist in the preparation of job sites, including clearing debris and setting up forms for concrete pouring. • Operate concrete mixers and other machinery as needed for mixing and transporting concrete. • Perform rebar installation and ensure proper placement according to project specifications. • Execute concrete forming techniques to create molds for various structures. • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for tasks related to concrete finishing, including smoothing and leveling surfaces. • Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and specifications. • Engage in heavy lifting and moving of materials as necessary throughout the workday. • Collaborate with team members on renovation projects, including plastering, masonry, and flooring installation. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites. Qualifications • Proven experience in construction or a related field is preferred. • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate heavy equipment safely. • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the day. • Knowledge of carpentry techniques including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing is required. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately from supervisors or project leads. • A commitment to safety practices on site, ensuring personal safety as well as that of coworkers.
