Concrete Laborer

Overview We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher/Former to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete work and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes. As a Concrete worker, you will play a crucial role in constructing and finishing concrete surfaces, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals. Duties • Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by leveling and grading the ground. • Operate concrete mixers and other power tools to mix and pour concrete. • Finish surfaces using hand tools, such as trowels, floats, and screeds. • Apply sealers and curing compounds to enhance the durability of finished surfaces. • Collaborate with other tradespeople, including those involved in drywall, frame carpentry, roofing, and flooring installation. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on-site. • Assist in the renovation of existing structures by removing old concrete and preparing for new applications. • Perform concrete pumping tasks as needed to facilitate efficient pouring processes. Skills • Proficiency in operating power tools related to concrete finishing. • Experience with commercial driving is a plus for transporting materials to job sites. • Knowledge of drywall installation techniques and frame carpentry principles. • Familiarity with renovation processes involving concrete surfaces. • Ability to operate concrete mixers effectively for optimal mixing results. • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues on-site. • Experience with flooring installation techniques that complement concrete work. • Understanding of roofing systems as they relate to concrete applications.
