Job Description

Diversified Communications is seeking a Conference Manager to join our growing company! This role is responsible for developing the conference programming and leads the content development for our Endurance and Healthcare portfolios. The Conference Manager will work in collaboration with industry consultants creating engaging programs for The Running Event, Switchback, and the Integrative Healthcare Symposium. This person serves as the main point of contact for all content development, speaker communication, onsite conference management and program coordination including CME/CE accreditations.

Key Areas of Responsibility will include:

  • Working closing with the Directors and content team, the conference manager oversees the content development and conference deliverables for the Endurance and Healthcare portfolio of events.
  • Oversees all aspects of the conference program development from concept to execution including the CME/CE accreditation process.
  • Proactively researches and recruits keynotes, presenters, and speakers.
  • Coordinates the call for proposals, identifies gaps for invited proposals, and stays abreast of industry trends and topics to build robust programs that align with overall event goals.
  • Builds relationships with potential speakers, industry stakeholders and target audiences.
  • Works as a team player to develop and share key conference program objectives to ensure accurate communication is aligned with marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Creates and manages conference budget.
  • Owns timeline for conference projects, exhibit hall theaters, CME/CE accreditation, sponsored sessions, and systems, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Manages complex pre-show and onsite logistics to deliver highest quality results.
  • Oversees conference website content and schedule of events.
  • Proofs all conference marketing material online and in print to support the timely delivery of promotional efforts.
  • Recommends innovative opportunities and efficiencies to expand the conference offerings and grow conference revenue.
  • Travels to events and manages onsite conference logistics

The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing events, creating robust conference programs and a keen ability to understand the role and needs of conference attendees. Excellent communication, project management, writing and problem-solving skills required. This is a supervisory role and travel will be required.
