Configuration Management Specialist

Position Summary

Identify, define, and document product requirements relevant to hardware & software configurations, costs, and qualifications & certifications using data management & engineering processes.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work with Engineering, Production, Project Management, and Procurement to ensure drawings are current and accurate.
• Assist in the release of drawings and software configuration changes throughout the product development process.
• Maintain & publish item master and Bill of Materials ensuring all data is current and accurate to support Material Requirements Planning.
• Prepare letters of transmittal.
• Ensure products meet technical, data, regulatory, and company requirements
• Evaluate, select, develop, and maintain Configuration Management and Document Control tools and processes.
• Coach and train team members on document control best practices.
• Conduct audits, as needed.
• Chair the Change/Configuration Control Board (CCB).

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience (7 years of hands-on experience in Configuration Management).
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Configuration Management in automotive/aerospace/industrial product development or similar industry.
• Advanced proficiency in JIRA, config mgmt tools, confluence, etc.
• Working knowledge of Solidworks, PDM, ERP database, and BOM structures.

Additional Qualifications Desired

• Industrial equipment industry experience
• Experienced in Manufacturing Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Leading communications with suppliers, vendors, and contract manufacturers on configuration requirements

Salary Range:  $155,000 USD - $175,000 USD

Salary Basis:  Annual
