Conflicts Specialist Senior- Location can be anywhere in the US Summary:
Individuals in this role will perform conflicts responsibilities at a high quality level. Responsibilities include researching internal and external data sources, summarizing research findings and deliver reports to the engagement teams; as well as effectively interacting with internal customers to ask questions that arise during the search process and answering questions from the internal customers.
- Process and provide timely, high quality conflict searches that meets or exceeds expectations, including the ability to work independently, resulting in minimal oversight and review points from the Conflicts Leads
- Strong understanding of research procedures and third party resources resulting in improved efficiency and turn-around of conflicts searches
- Develop the ability to respond to correspondence from engagement teams, including anticipating and addressing engagement teams concerns and escalate issues as they arise
- Send correspondence to the engagement teams regarding questions or data needed to perform a conflicts search, as instructed by the Conflicts Leads
- Identify performance improvement opportunities
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent - Required
- Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook - Preferred
- Organizational and time-management skills - Required
- Strong written and verbal communications skills - Preferred
- Familiarity with financial and legal transactions, organization types, and corporate family structures - Required
EXPERIENCE
- Previous conflicts specialist experience - Required
- Experience in a professional services setting - Required
- Experience in general business research - Required
- Attention to detail - Required
- Must be able to work in a team environment - Required
- Must exercise good judgment skills - Required
- Familiarity with private equity and public issuer corporate structures -Required
