Construction Laborer

SCOPE AND PURPOSE: Maintain a clean and safe construction site, install protection as needed and report superintendents, including subcontractor misconduct. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include but are not limited to the following, as other duties may be assigned. GENERAL OPERATIONS · Job site responsibilities- Remove debris, keep floors dust free (depending on floor type: vacuum/mop/ or use clean sweep on concrete), install poly barrier for dust control, lay carpet mask to protect carpet from damage, small repairs, touch up paint, prepare bathrooms/kitchen areas for final clean up crews, etc. · Subcontractor- Aid superintendents through meeting subcontractors, assisting to gain entrance to suites or buildings, report subcontractor job site absence, tardiness, and misconduct · Tools- Organize tools and materials on job site and storage. Maintain lists of equipment/tools TECHNICAL PREREQUISITES · Project a professional image by meeting DEB dress code standards · Ability to communicate in a positive and professional manner with building managers, engineers, tenants, subcontractors, and DEB employees as well as maintain consistent communication with supervisors PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS · Requires frequent walking, lifting, bending, standing, reaching and the ability to ascend/descend stairs Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Health savings account • Life insurance • Paid time off • Professional development assistance • Vision insurance Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
