Job Description

A bit about us

We’re a venture-backed startup on a mission to change the future of hospitality and home. With properties in some of America’s most-loved cities, our unique platform allows buildings to blur the line between hotels and apartments. This all-in-one solution includes property operations, customer acquisitions, and the tech stack to operate with more flexibility than any other company in the market.

Our tech-enabled buildings create one-of-a-kind guest experiences and tremendous value in the underlying real estate. Whether guests are with us for a night, a year, or somewhere in between, these are more than just spaces to spend the night—they’re a place to call home.

Our property team members bring our business to life at each building, focusing on execution, along with resident and guest experience. Our non-property team members support property execution and the evolution of other areas within our platform.

As Project Manager focusing on construction, you will develop and manage pre-opening, wind-down, and flex use processes, budgets, and plans for properties across our portfolio with a focus on building improvements, renovations, and regulatory modifications. You will work across both Pop-Up Hotels and Hospitality Living buildings. You will apply your project management and leadership experience in delivering projects on time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction. In this role, you will work closely with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to manage the complete lifecycle of each project including working hand-in-hand with Placemakr’s Regulatory and Interior Design teams to implement physical construction work needed to achieve regulatory and zoning/land use approvals and otherwise get Placemakr projects up and running.

  • Effectively drive process throughout the organization with the goal to improve workflow efficiencies
  • Act as a primary point of contact for each project interfacing with contractors, building ownership, and various Placemakr teammates
  • Provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery, solve for red flags, and escalate key decisions with broader impact
  • Identify and develop process improvements which help to enhance our pre-opening and wind-down processes
  • Leverage problem-solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation
  • Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills working with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes
  • Efficiently plan and prioritize all deliverables and resources across multiple projects
  • Scope and develop process improvement projects to achieve our goals of opening properties faster and more efficiently
  • Manage construction, renovation, regulatory modification, and other projects across the Placemakr portfolio including Pop-Ups, Hospitality Living Buildings, and flex use projects
  • Manage project-specific budgets for pre-opening and wind-down projects
  • Additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Qualifications
