Construction Project Manager

As a Construction Project Manager, you will be a crucial member of our growing Operations team and plays a vital role in the design and installation of production manufacturing systems. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create layout options for factory space to meet production targets within building constraints
• Manage all aspects of multi-discipline construction projects in the field including safety and change management
• Interact with internal and external stakeholders such as engineering teams and contractors
• Own projects start to finish and drive results to achieve on time completion within budget while ensuring high quality and safe workmanship 
• Create tools and systems relating to the organization of our construction projects and documentation
• Provide budgetary costs based upon the preliminary scope and historical data
• Gather proposals from consultants such as architects, engineers and contractors
• Perform bid evaluations and assign contracts upon receipt of all proposals
• Develop the final cost and schedule for the project, and implement controls as needed to manage cost, schedule and scope
• Facilitate city, county, and governmental approvals
• Track project status and provide concise updates to key stakeholders
• Take on new projects ad-hoc as the business needs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or construction management discipline 
• 3+ years of professional experience in architecture, engineering, construction management, or facilities management

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with CAD software, Visio, Revit or other modeling software
• Previous experience with project management and scheduling software
• Knowledge of processes of jurisdictional permitting and/or environmental agencies
• Understanding of multiple disciplines relevant to Aerospace facilities such as civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, piping, geotechnical, and surveying
• Experience with project management of major construction projects including estimating, cost control, schedule, and contractor management
• Experience reading, reviewing, and approving shop and fabrication drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while maintaining a high sense of urgency in a high-paced, challenging work environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team, take initiative, and communicate effectively
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Manufacturing facility experience
