We currently have one openings for a remote with travel Construction Start-up Manager. The pay range will be $120,000 to $160,000 per year. Pay will be dependent on experience.
The Construction Start-up Project Manager will plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects at each phase of design and construction. This individual will work with internal and external teams on specifications, design, lead times, and cost leveling of equipment and components needed for new construction and retrofit projects. They should be organized and oversee construction procedures to ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. This position must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. This individual must provide analytical thinking, have great organizational skills, and be fiscally responsible to make sure they maintain budget, scope, and schedule.

- Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal and administrative functions of the assigned program, project or sub-task
- Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks)
- Define the project (mission, vision, tenets), set objectives, analyze data and drive improvements that are quantified with metrics
- Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment, seeking to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions and reasons behind leadership decisions
- Partner with teams across the business you support and beyond to source, allocate, and coordinate resources
- Partner with customers, and internal/external teams to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.
- Work with Sr. project management and program managers, to communicate and track continuous improvement
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, etc. to determine the specifications of the project
- Plan and execute RFPs and RFQs, provide cost-leveling responses to construction leadership
- Negotiate contract with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) at the start of the project with attention to budgetary limitations
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
- Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
- Supervise the work of laborer’s, mechanics, etc. and give guidance when needed.
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
- Ensure Local Bounti receives all turnover documentation, including warranty items, operating manuals, and any training documents
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
- Any other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or building science is preferred.
- 10 years managing field staff/ equipment vendors/ contractors in a commercial construction environment.
