Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage large-scale GIS programs and projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.

· Develop and implement project management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices tailored to GIS projects.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.

· Oversee the development and deployment of GIS solutions, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.

· Provide strategic guidance on GIS technology adoption, system integration, and data management.

· Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.

· Coordinate cross-functional teams, including GIS developers, analysts, and external vendors, to achieve project goals.

· Conduct stakeholder communication and reporting, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

· Experience in handling multiple stakeholders

· Mentor junior team members and contribute to building organizational GIS capabilities.

· Experience in haldnling onsite offshore model projects.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

· Over 20 years of experience in program and project management with a strong focus on GIS projects.

· Extensive knowledge of GIS technologies, including ESRI platforms (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online).

· Proven expertise in managing end-to-end GIS project lifecycles, from planning and design to execution and delivery.

· Good understanding of spatial data management, geoprocessing, and GIS workflows.

· Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

· Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to dynamic project requirements.

Preferred Skills:

· Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).

· Experience with cloud-based GIS solutions and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

· Knowledge of integrating GIS with enterprise systems such as ERP or CRM.

· Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools.

· Prior work experience with National Grid/Gas is preferred
