Consultant - Buyer, Home + Gift

About You

We’re looking for someone who is an enthusiastic self-starter. This person will take initiative to lead one of our largest Merchandising events of the year. This person must be able to work well cross-functionally, have keen negotiation and buying skills, and be a team player.

About The Role

Reporting to the Senior Buying Director, Fashion & Home, the goop Home + Gift Buyer will be responsible for managing the multi-brand home business as well as the sourcing and development of our 2023 Gift Guide.

Overall business responsibilities include:

• Maintain the current home and gift business online and in stores
• Lead sourcing and negotiation for Gift Guide 2023 for Home vertical based on budget, revenue, and SKU goals
• Be the product team’s point person for Gift Guide 2023 by working cross-functionally with Design, Product Management, and Creative to build the guide going into the fall season
• Work closely with Merchandise Assistant and Gift Guide Assistant to ensure all home products are created, POed, and assets are accumulated for product to go live
• Partner with content, editorial, marketing and retail teams to increase visibility of gift offering, as well as multi home product with high inventory positions

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5-7 years’ experience in home or gift merchandising and buying
• Strong analytical skills and financial acumen, with experience in managing an open to buy
• Proven track record for developing compelling product assortments in multiple categories
• Extremely comfortable in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel
