Consultant, Financial Risk and Control Analyst
Summary
The successful candidate supports the Treasury Operations Middle Office function under the direction of the Treasury Operations manager. The Treasury Operations group supports the middle and back-office processes of the $100 billion corporate treasury portfolio that consists of fixed income securities (US and Non-US dollar), money market, repos, and derivative securities.
The Financial Risk and Control Analyst role will include supporting new product initiatives, regulatory reporting, and data quality assurance across the portfolio. The Financial Risk and Control Analyst will work to define scope, requirements and will be a liaison between business partners and Engineering (IT) for key initiatives.
Major Duties
- Operates independently and has in-depth knowledge of business unit, specific area of expertise and strong knowledge in other areas.
- Conducts portfolio, repository and valuation analysis on an on-going basis and identifies risks and gaps to business partners.
- Works closely with our Middle Office executing on regulatory and audit deliverables.
- Support the implementation of projects for the treasury back office.
- Identify process improvement opportunities.
- Perform daily and monthly middle office control and reporting activities.
- Provide oversight over accounting and control functions.
- Able to serve as a key subject matter expert across Treasury Systems.
Qualifications
- A College or University degree and 4+ years relevant proven work experience.
- Exposure and understanding of Risk, Audit and Compliance factors.
- Product knowledge of fixed income derivatives and securities.
- Highly flexible and adaptable to change.
- Experience with business process and/or technology enhancement initiatives.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
