Shape and strengthen KYC risk frameworks within a complex regulatory environment

The Role
We are seeking a Consultant to lead and enhance KYC risk management capabilities for a leading financial institution. This role focuses on ensuring robust alignment with regulatory expectations while proactively identifying assessing and mitigating risks across the KYC lifecycle. You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and support a strong compliance culture.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and oversee the KYC risk management framework ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Identify assess and monitor KYC-related risks across onboarding periodic and event-driven reviews
• Develop and maintain risk methodologies assessments and control standards for KYC processes
• Analyze KYC metrics and trends to identify emerging risks and control gaps
• Partner with compliance operations audit and technology teams to support risk mitigation and remediation

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in KYC AML or financial crime risk management within financial services or consulting
• Understanding of KYC CDD and EDD regulatory requirements
• Experience developing risk frameworks methodologies and control standards
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and present risk insights clearly
• Analytical mindset with experience identifying trends risks and control weaknesses

Bonus Points For

• Experience supporting regulatory exams audits or internal reviews
• Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks and multi-jurisdictional environments
• Experience working with KYC data metrics and reporting tools
• Exposure to transformation or process improvement initiatives within financial crime
• Experience promoting risk awareness and compliance culture within organizations
