Who You Are: The Consumer Insights Analsyt supports the Insights Sr. Manager in running and analyzing quantitative and qualitative research. Contributes in building consumer-centric knowledge to influence & inform commercial/marketing efforts and is savvy at translating research data into actionable insights. Works closely with external and internal vendors and stakeholders on various research initiatives including brand tracking, segmentation, focus groups, pricing studies, concept tests, etc. The Analyst, Consumer Insights is a detail-oriented, analytical and insights-curious individual to support the team in achieving strategic goals.
What You're Good At:
- Proactively deliver market, competitive and consumer insights by analyzing and synthesizing data from multiple sources (consumer research, POS, Syndicated data, MRI, etc.)
- Support Insights Sr. Manager in designing, conducting, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative market research studies
- Contribute to development of strategies through superior knowledge of consumer and market dynamics
- Conduct opportunity analysis and provide actionable recommendations
- Influence decisions with effective and persuasive communication
- Comfortable with both DIY research (leverage self-serve platform and vendor platforms that run recruitment & sampling; and experience working with multiple vendors
- Familiar with Brand Health Tracking, Concept Testing (qual/quant), Segmentation, and Conjoint analysis
- Familiarity and application of statistical analysis, data visualization techniques and tools. Majority of research conduct is focused on quant
- Familiarity with both Primary and Secondary Research, analysis, and practical application
- Curious to learn conducting end-to-end research inclusive of questionnaire & discussion guide development, analysis of results and developing final report and sharing out the results
- Ability to analyze, understand and contextualize consumer data, and communicate the results
- Supplements consumer research with shopper behavior data to bring research to practical implications that are relevant to retail partners. Includes comfort analyzing consumer panel or FSP data (e.g. Numerator, Nielsen/IRI consumer panel)
- Assesses and analyzes market landscape, consumer trends, areas of non-consumption and white space
- Collaboration and ability to work cross- functionally
- Is strongly curious and has a passion for moving the business forward via a consumer and data led lens
- In this role your goals and KPIs will be focused around:
- Accuracy of data analysis and visualizations
- Delivering on-time actionable research insight reports that specifically impact brand activations and innovations
- Effective collaboration with multiple vendors and stakeholders
What You Contribute:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Statistics or related field
- Minimum 3 years of analytic experience within an agency or CPG industry
- Hands-on experience of analyzing data preferably in the CPG industry across qual and quant research
- Comfortable presenting data driven reports
- Advanced knowledge of analytical tools such as SPSS, inclusive of running cross tabs, conducting analysis (i.e. linear regressions) and writing syntax (i.e. creating a new variable)
- Knowledge of working with data visualization tools such as Tableau
