The Consumer Insights Manager for Coffee, is responsible for ensuring the voice of the consumer is heard in all business decisions. This role is expected to bring the consumer perspective to marketing decision making around brand strategy, positioning, consumer communication, and targeting. This person will manage a portion of the coffee portfolio and will report directly to the Director of Consumer Insights for Coffee Beverages. Specific responsibilities include managing consumer foundational initiatives that guide the overall strategies and decisions for our coffee portfolio, including innovation and product development.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of progressive consumer market research experience and a leadership style that fuses inspiration with a passion for making a difference.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Establish strong internal networks across functions and with the Coffee Brewer teams to ensure a holistic "systems" approach to the business
  • Build a Sustainable Growth Strategy
    • Support Brand in the development of long term brand strategy and annual brand marketing plans including business objectives, consumer and channel strategies, and translation of strategies to the consumer through all elements of the marketing mix.
  • Deliver Consumer Insights That Drive Action
    • Own consumer insight development and deliverables to ensure insights are translated into actionable marketing plans. Translate and communicate brand's unique selling propositions to key stakeholders - consumers, customers, and cross-functional partners, including senior management.
  • Innovate to Address Consumer Needs
    • Lead the development and implementation of new Insight tools to elevate and amplify the value of Consumer research and consumer needs, by exploring new approaches to methodologies, analyses, reporting while managing within budget constraints.

Drive Customer Engagement Through Innovation, Communication Strategy & Messaging

  • Leverage strong storytelling skills to develop impactful reporting and output to influence key stakeholders and ultimately drive action across our brands and categories.
  • Help the Brand Marketing, Innovation and Commercial teams to develop consumer-centric innovation and build compelling selling stories that leverage our brand equities and inform category dynamics.
  • Champion Our Brands
    • Drive organizational and customer engagement behind brand strategies to generate excitement, align on priorities, and ensure we deliver strong execution

    • Set high performance standards, measure for success, and adjust plan to deliver against growth agenda.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or MBA from an accredited institution, major in Business, Marketing, Market Research, Psychology, Sociology or related field.
  • 5+ years of consumer market research experience, to include study design, management and application of various types of market research with 2+ years of CPG/Beverage experience.
  • This role is based at the KDP Burlington, MA headquarters location. Relocation to greater Boston, MA is required with 10%-15% travel.
