Who You Are:
The Consumer Insights Manager leads quantitative and qualitative research and builds consumer-centric knowledge to support commercial/marketing efforts. Manages a variety of research partners from sourcing to application of insights for various research initiatives including brand tracking, consumer research, focus groups, Pricing studies, etc.
What You're Good At:
- Assisting with setting Consumer learning agenda for Insights team
- Performing Consumer Research scoping and project management
- Qual and Quant Balance – Expertise and executional experience in a wide range of both qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Experience conducting end-to-end research inclusive of questionnaire & discussion guide development, analysis of results and developing final report and sharing out the results
- Ability to understand and contextualize consumer behaviors and motivations, and educate the organization on our consumers to create a competitive advantage
- Supplements consumer research with shopper behavior data to bring research to practical implications that are relevant to retail partners. Includes comfort analyzing consumer panel or FSP data (e.g. Numerator, Nielsen/IRI consumer panel)
- Comfortable with both DIY research (leverage self-serve platform and vendor platforms that run recruitment & sampling; and experience managing multiple vendors
- Knowledge and experience in Brand Health Tracking, Concept Testing (qual/quant) and Product Innovation (among others)
- Familiarity and application of statistical analysis, research techniques and tools. Majority of research conduct is focused on quant
- Experience with both Primary and Secondary Research, including analysis and practical application
- Ability to apply a strategic mindset to the research to ensure insight share outs developed within the relevant brand frameworks to ensure relevant and actionable reports
- Influence decisions with effective and persuasive communication across levels & departments · Effectively develop and manage annual budget plans
- Assesses market landscape, need states, consumer trends, areas of non-consumption and white space
- Is strongly curious and has a passion for moving the business forward via a consumer and data led lens
- In this role your goals and KPIs will be focused around:
- Budget management & planning
- Delivering on-time actionable research insight reports as outlined within the annual plans that specifically impact brand activations and innovations
- Effective management of multiple vendors
What You Contribute:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Statistics or related field
- Hands-on experience of planning and executing consumer research projects preferably in the CPG industry
- Has presented and gained consensus working directly with senior leadership
- Experience with analytical tools such as SPSS, inclusive of running cross tabs, conducting analysis (i.e. linear regressions) and writing syntax (i.e. creating a new variable)
