Consumer Intelligence Analyst
Job Description
Responsibilities
● Help create, program and launch surveys designed to gather consumer information that drives client strategy. Examples include consumer segmentation, creative copy testing, new brand or product concept screens, and brand health trackers.
● Clean, reorganize, and recode data to prepare it for analysis.
● Analyze data using a variety of univariate and multivariate statistical techniques to uncover insights that help inform strategic decision-making.
● Prepare crosstabs reports that help summarize survey data.
● Synthesize and summarize data from secondary sources to inform survey content or to make decisions in lieu of primary research (e.g., Census data, Mintel, Gartner, YouGov, etc.)
● Prepare summaries and reports of findings from consumer analyses and share
with internal teams and clients.
● Opportunity to establish yourself as a key partner with internal and client side brand leaders and marketing teams.
Qualifications
● BS/BA in Marketing, Market Research, Data Analytics, Statistics, Psychology, Sociology or related degree or equivalent experience
● 3+ years of experience in a marketing, consumer insights/research or professional consulting role, prefer experience in the consumer packaged goods, restaurant, retail, automotive, travel, finance or healthcare industry.
● Ability to navigate, utilize and analyze raw data files using analysis software (SPSS or R)
● Ability to deliver actionable business recommendations, influencing decisions and driving results.
● Ability to work with third party suppliers ensuring they are aligned to our deliverables and are driving impactful outcomes.
● Strong oral and written communication skills, especially the ability to explain difficult concepts and opportunities in simple, applicable business terms.
● Experience with data mining, segmentation, or predictive modeling using large, research or marketing databases.
● Ability to use software to develop crosstabs from raw data files (e.g., Q, MarketSight, Wincross, etc.)
● Experience with bringing data visualization and information design for more efficient analysis and interpretation.
● Experience with survey design and programming (e.g., Forsta, DisplayR, Alchemer, Sawtooth, Qualtrics, etc.)
● Strong analytic thought process and ability to interpret findings.
● Ability to use all MS office software with proficiency and advanced skills in Excel.
● Openness to use emerging AI technologies to support market research efforts in a variety of ways, including but not limited to methodology design, survey development, and data analysis.
