As a Consumer Loan Underwriter (Level 1), you'll impact the lives of everyday people and help them go from surviving to thriving with innovative digital personal finance solutions. Consumer Loan Underwriters are responsible for underwriting a high volume of unsecured consumer loan applications, while assisting in the development and refinement of the underwriting process.

This is a Hybrid role. Will be required to be on-site in Tempe, Arizona a few days per month as needed.
What you'll do:
• Review loan applications
• Analyze consumer information including credit reports and income documentation
• Identify potential risk
• Utilize underwriting guidelines to determine lending approval
• Collaborate to improve the underwriting process
• Find ways to get better
What you'll bring:
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in credit analysis and/or underwriting loans (unsecured lending or credit card preferred)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task effectively
• Aptitude for critical thinking and working in the gray areas of risk assessment
• Ability to work autonomously and with a high level of productivity
• Resourcefulness and a need to continually improve upon processes
• Excellent communication skills
• Shift will start as Monday -Friday during ramp up, (approx. first 6 months), then you choose Tue-Sat or Sun-Thur.
