Summary:

The Consumer Product Strategy Associate is responsible for creating a framework to report on competitive and market intelligence. This individual will also be focused on developing and executing product & pricing strategies for the bank’s consumer and wealth related offerings. This role involves working closely with the consumer banking and wealth management, customer segmentation, finance and treasury teams to create and implement comprehensive product & pricing strategies that align with banks deposit portfolio / liquidity needs, market conditions and customer needs. The goal is to maximize profitability, ensure competitive positioning in the market, and drive growth across banking and wealth products.

Responsibilities:

Market and Competitive Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify competitive positioning and trends across both banking and wealth management products.

  • Utilize data analytics tools to enhance pricing models and decision-making processes, with a focus on customer segmentation and product differentiation.

Deposit Pricing Strategy:

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to inform pricing decisions.

  • Weekly reporting of product performance across Consumer and Digital Banking

  • Develop and implement deposit pricing strategies in alignment with the bank’s financial goals and market conditions.

  • Conduct profitability analysis and performance tracking of deposit products to ensure competitive positioning and optimal pricing.

Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to deposit pricing and product offerings.

  • Prepare and present reports on pricing strategy performance and market conditions to senior management, offering actionable insights and recommendations.

Product Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate with customer segmentation, finance, treasury, and wealth management teams to develop cohesive product offerings across banking and wealth segments.

  • Help drive strategic direction of consumer banking products, ensuring they meet market demand and customer expectations.

  • Identify opportunities for product innovation within the consumer banking and wealth portfolios, including the introduction of new products or enhancements to existing offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • 3-5 years of experience in retail banking, deposit pricing, product management, or financial analysis within the banking or wealth management industry.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and market trends.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey strategic insights to senior management.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to deposit products and wealth management offerings.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
