Content Creator Intern

This internship will begin in May 2023, in our Waltham, MA office.

Boston Dynamics is seeking an ambitious content creator to join the Customer Learning & Development team to create and manage a library of multimedia assets. In this internship, you will use your creative abilities to build assets designed to enhance our customer support resources and maximize engagement with our Support Center. To thrive in this position, you must have strong creative, synthesis, and analysis skills.

Boston Dynamics is a world leader in mobile robots, tackling some of the toughest robotics challenges. For years, our awe-inspiring viral videos on YouTube have shown the world what remarkably capable robots can do. Now we are quickly becoming a recognized leader in automation solutions for industrial applications and warehouse logistics.

Day to day activities:

• Work alongside engineers and technical writers to create media assets that help explain complex concepts visually.
• Independently produce photographs, videos, GIFs, memes, and infographics using Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Create and manage a library of multimedia assets to be used to enhance our documentation and Support Center.
• Ensure consistency and standardization across projects (Spot, Stretch).
• Build and grow asset library, proactively anticipating the needs of the Customer Learning & Development team.

Desired skills:

• Current student enrolled in an undergraduate or masters program in Fine Arts, Visual Studies, Cinema Studies, Art History or Engineering with a design focus
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, Lightroom, and/or Illustrator
• Strong creativity and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team setting in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

• Understand basic fundamentals of photography and a basic understanding of how to use a camera
• Interested in User Experience and a willingness to learn about the why behind making an image or object
• Experience with content management systems
• The student makes art in any capacity
• Experience with digital drawing tools
