Job Description

Do you like to read children's books? We are currently seeking a hardworking writer to build multiple-choice quizzes for fiction and nonfiction books used by pre-K through grade 12 students.

In this role as a Content Designer you will:

• Read digital books or selections
• Create content for reading-assessment products
• Perform related duties as assigned. ​​​

Qualifications

For this role as a Content Designer, you should have:

• A cover letter submitted with application
• Bachelor’s degree in Education
• The ability to read, analyze and interpret a wide range of titles and write valid and reliable multiple-choice assessments with readability levels appropriate for grades K-3, 4-8 and/or 9-12
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• A solid understanding of grammar, mechanics, usage and spelling
• Basic computer knowledge, including experience working with e-readers, Microsoft Office, Google Suite and other web-based tools
• Exceptional time-management skills and the ability to adapt to changes and new procedures
• Experience working under pressure to meet deadlines
• The capacity to accept, internalize, and provide constructive feedback

Bonus Points: 

• Proven writing or content design experience
• Experience writing multiple-choice items or assessments is beneficial
• Fluency in Spanish or French
• K-12 classroom experience or library experience
• Knowledge of state and national ELA standards
• Experience designing curricular content
• Subject area expertise (science, history, sports, etc)

Salary Range: $38,400 to $52,850 This range is based on national market data and may vary by location.
