Content Developer

LG Electronics is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Digital Content Developer to work as part of our support team creating DIY videos and articles

POSITION SUMMARY:

The content developer will be responsible for creating, editing, and publishing videos and articles on various digital channels. The ideal candidate will have experience editing videos and graphics, publishing content online and be proficient in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. The content developer should know SEO best practices.

THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop content (videos, articles, images, diagrams, flow-charts) that explains installation, operation, care, maintenance and troubleshooting of LG products
• Create, edit, maintain, and update LG support content on various digital channels
• Develop content goals and strategies
• Coordinate content requirements for new products pre-launch
• Modify content for existing products based on customer feedback
• Use a variety of content management systems and publishing tools
• Produce informational videos
• Edit images using Photoshop
• Manipulate graphic illustrations
• Edit HTML using common development tools (Dreamweaver, VS Code)
• Continuously update knowledge and understanding of LG products and technology
• Maintain relationships with product managers and development teams to obtain reference materials and resources
• Explain technical concepts in an understandable way to non-technical persons.
• Self-manage content development process to meet publishing schedules.
• Take initiative to reach out to various LG departments for information sharing and collaboration
• Monitor key performance indicators to plan and report status to management

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• 3 years' experience in content development for a business or news website
• Experience using Adobe Premiere
• Experience using PhotoShop, Adobe CC, image editing and design software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript and the use of development applications such as Dreamweaver, Visual Studio Code, MAMP
• Experience using online content management systems
• Familiar with SEO best practices
• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
• Well organized and able to manage several projects at once
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
