About the Role
As a Digital Content Specialist, you will manage digital projects from inception to release. Using digital content workflows, authoring tools, and technology, you'll ensure success. You will also be the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, collaborating globally throughout the development process.

About the Role
As a Digital Content Specialist, you will manage digital projects from inception to release. Using digital content workflows, authoring tools, and technology, you'll ensure success. You will also be the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, collaborating globally throughout the development process.
Responsibilities
- Having the ability to anticipate content rendering issues and guide authors in preparing content for maximum benefit to customers.
- Consulting with content strategists, sales/marketing, and customers; attends national society meetings and author meetings; conducts market research on selected projects.
- Planning and developing content for electronic and print delivery that meets market needs, is and increases product market share.
- Analyzing competing products with content strategists, drafts strategy plans for revised and new content. Works with content strategists and authors to plan content formats & delivery, organization and content templates.
- Advising on content writing and development to yield best online discovery. Participates in planning and implementation of content delivery and updates for ClinicalKey, Expert Consult, and other platforms.
- Developing and communicates guidelines for writers regarding content and e-content enhancements, formats and extent, number of illustrations, and reference style;
- Reviewing all stages of writing to ensure that guidelines have been followed. Monitors budget, and works with writers to correct deviations from plan/vision.
- Creating content maps to link text to assets and envisions and creates enhancements for use in various electronic formats.
Requirements
- Have familiarity with requirements for content to move smoothly through publishing process internally or with vendors.
- Have the ability to manage e-development and assignments for online or e-book development projects.
- Use your experience with technology, including e-books, tablets, and online tools. Experience managing writers/SMEs. Experience in managing multiple, high-priority projects.
- Understand acceptable formats for digital text and art. Facility with Word, Excel, and internet research.
- Have experience working with e-devices and e-content workflows. Basic level of understanding of EPUB, HTML5, and XML as they relate to e-book publishing process
- Have complete Associates or Bachelors in English, Project Management, e-Learning,
- Demonstrate experience with technology projects and/or developing content for print and e-book formats.
