The Content Editor position reviews all content written by the Product Writing team for quality, localization-readiness, and grammatical accuracy.Â
The Product Writing team’s content areas include, but are not limited to, Knowledge Base content (articles, video scripts), in-product content (landing pages, user interface text), governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) content (policies, procedures).
Responsibilities:
- Researches and proposes writing standards to ensure we are writing the best possible content
- Creates and maintains editing procedures and writing best practices
- Ensures that content written by the Product Writing team is reviewed and edited for quality, accuracy, consistency, clarity, and localization-readiness
- Provides team members with constructive criticism on how to improve their content
- Be a subject matter expert for proper writing on the team
- Meet with team members to go over plan/structure for documentation projects and offer suggestions for improvement
- Write articles or other content as neededÂ
- Attend meetings to represent the team and gather information
- Back up team members if they are out of the office
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree (Technical Communication, English, or related field) preferredÂ
- Minimum 1 year of experience with editing/proofreading and/or technical writingÂ
- Experience with Google Docs
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written communications (grammar, spelling, sentence structure) and proofreading skills
- Strong understanding of how to write content to prepare it to be translated/localized
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and organization skills
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS preferred
- Ability to adjust to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with UX writing preferredÂ
- Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) writing preferred
- Strong eye for detail
