The Opportunity

We are looking for a savvy Content Manager to guide and develop the content creation process for our brand. As a content ideator and writer, you will research and define desired target audiences, manage the content creation and publishing process, and monitor consumer and content metrics. To ensure success, you will leverage both creative skill and artificial intelligence to maximize potential and production. The ideal team member will show a keen eye for detail and be highly creative. This role is an expert storyteller and possesses excellent knowledge of consumer and content trends while being our marketing team’s go-to in-house copywriter and editor. You will report into our Sr. Creative Manager and play a critical role in campaign development and execution.

How You’ll Contribute at Buildout

  • Meet with the marketing, product, and sales teams to ideate and define content goals. 

  • Research content and consumer trends to ensure that content is relevant and appealing. 

  • Develop thought leadership and overall content strategies to effectively reach the desired target audience and marketing goals. 

  • Create content for a variety of platforms including blogs, websites, and social media. 

  • Proofread and edit content before publishing. 

  • Ensure that SEO and SMO strategies are effectively implemented. 

  • Manage content calendars and ensure that the content remains consistent across all platforms. 

  • Track consumer and content analytics (contributions of gated content marketing capture leads and trending page data). 

  • Support the development and creation of reports and presentations for internal and external audiences. 

  • Keep up to date with content trends, consumer preferences, and advancements in technology.

  • Assist the management team of marketing across growth, brand, and creative with campaign and thought leadership execution. 

What You’ll Bring to Buildout 

  • A minimum of five years of experience in content creation, marketing, communications, or similar. 

  • A portfolio of published work. 

  • Ability to self-edit written work. 

  • Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of tools such as ChatGPT, Jasper.AI, etc.

  • Working knowledge and appreciation of how AI content tools assist in maximizing content output.

  • Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress, Webflow, etc. 

  • Good knowledge of content and layout design tools such as Adobe InCopy and InDesign. 

  • Good knowledge of various content platforms such as social media, blogs, and print media. 

  • Strong understanding of content practices such as SEO, SMO, and PPC. 

  • And overall, the love of the written word and its power to propel a brand.

This is a fully remote role open across most of the US, however candidates must be able to work CST or EST hours. The targeted compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000.
