Overview

KBRA is looking for a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, creative, and results-driven candidate with 5+ years of experience in entity data management to join our Content Management & Governance Team. In this role, the candidate’s mandate is to be the expert in the field of entity data, whom our internal clients can trust to provide intelligent, valuable, and timely solutions. To this end as a Content Manager you will work with product and business managers, developers, and client/third-party stakeholders to define, develop, manage and implement high quality entity data collection methodologies inclusive of data quality.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have experience in entity management and in financial services or preferably with a focus on fixed income.  In this role you will define and implement strategies for the development of an enterprise entity management system, monitor and drive day-to-day data acquisition activities, ensure data quality and function as content owner for all requirements related to the entity data management system. 

Requirements

  • Experience working across the enterprise to solicit requirements and to obtain consensus.
  • Very good understanding of Legal Entity data and related reference data.
  • Knowledge of common use cases related to entity data within Fixed Income sectors.
  • Very good understanding of entity relationship to Fundamental data, Securities Data, Corporate Action and Market Reference Data.
  • Experience working with databases such as SQL, NOSQL and willingness to grow these skills
  • Define and manage day-to-day efforts around data acquisition/sourcing, workflow design, data modeling and reference data management.
  • Define requirements for Entity Data management systems, data dictionaries, metadata management, and other data acquisition processes and tools
  • Proactively identify areas of improvement and assist in overall Content Delivery Roadmap deliverables
  • Ensure systems, processes and tools meet data quality & governance requirements

Skills required:

  • SQL and or python
  • Microsoft Office
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Experience with reference or financial data
  • Experience with unstructured data
  • Experience with data acquisition strategies, best practices and technologies; manual workflows, entity extraction tools, web scraping and crowdsourcing
  • Entity and Data Management technologies
  • Experience with data acquisition best practices inclusive of automation and manual workflow.
  • Experience with data quality reporting and metrics
  • Experience with stakeholder management
  • A high degree of curiosity and interest in problem solving, a bias for action, the ability to work independently, strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Business process improvement and workflows
  • Business reporting and program management
  • Ability to work independently
  • Candidates need to be comfortable working with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in finance/business with an exceptional academic record
  • 5 + years of professional work experience at specialist/senior/principal/lead analyst
  • Strong communication skills, people, and project management skills
  • Team player
  • Good analytical skills to research and analyze information to aid in decision making
  • Able to take the initiative and work without detailed guidance or supervision
