Content Marketer (Remote)
Job Description
The primary responsibilities of the Legal Marketing Copywriter are to effectively analyze clients' content needs and performance data to create website strategies that support clients' digital marketing goals in the areas of content creation. The Legal Marketing Copywriter will give direction to content creators and will periodically create and/or rework content. The Legal Marketing Copywriter is part of a collaborative team that works directly with attorney clients nationwide.
Job Requirements
- Consult client stakeholders and internal partners to understand client business goals, brand differentiators, target audiences, and tone and voice.
- Conduct content inventories of client assets and use analytic tools to produce recommendations and strategic solutions meant to refine or improve the client's web presence.
- Create, present, and discuss website architecture, content creation plans and rationale with clients, obtaining client agreement to execute.
- Work as part of a team, completing varied work assignments, collaborating with others, and communicating work status.
- Ensure that content complies with internal standards and practices, industry standards, and corporate policies.
- Ensure that content project meet established deliverable timeframes and quality expectations.
- Maintain proficiency in company business systems including CMS, analytics and tracking software.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; English, marketing, communications, journalism, or related degree preferred
- 2+ years professional experience creating content or managing content creation in a data-driven, strategic, digital environment
- Experience within the legal industry preferred
Knowledge/Skills
- Understanding of legal practice areas, concepts, and terminology
- General marketing concepts and strategies
- Digital marketing strategies, including search engine optimization
- Knowledge of website performance analytics
- Basic knowledge of website infrastructure
- Excellent English writing and editing skills with demonstrated ability to successfully target content to the desired medium
- AP style / standard rules for grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Strong online research skills
- Strong ability to prioritize and handle multiple and/or conflicting projects and priorities
- Ability to work well in a team environment and build relationships and collaborate with others
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail
- Adaptability and willingness to embrace change
- Ability to meet deadlines and achieve output and quality goals
- Ability to craft creative writing solutions for attorney clients from different geographies, backgrounds, and legal practices
