Content Marketing Manager - CMT

As a Content Marketing Manager for the Consumer, Manufacturing and Technology (CMT) vertical, you will be responsible for facilitating the creation and distribution of thought leadership that pertain to CMT customers. This includes liaising with Copywriters to commission projects, working with subject matter experts to provide genuine thought leadership and white papers to help further the goals of the marketing and sales teams at Clarivate. You will monitor these published works for tone and message consistency and ensure that it strikes a chord with the intended audience. You will also make sure that the marketing teams have access to these important tools and understand how they can and should be used to help bolster their campaigns.

What makes this role unique is that this person is coming in at a moment where the team is deciding what marketing looks like in this area for Clarivate. Setting expectations and their own projects. Not coming into existing role with pre-set expectations.

What will you be doing in this role?
  • Develop and implement a content strategy based on a deep understanding of CMT customer needs, market trends and competitive forces
  • Develop themes/topics, copywriting, and content creation, curation and distribution to help drive customer expansion and customer acquisition.
  • Manage the content development calendar; communicate with key stakeholders across the business and employees for visibility
  • Ensure content is held to the highest standard of quality, is aligned to overall corporate content strategy and guidance, is on-message, on brand and is leveraged to its full potential
  • Manage the editorial review process and coordination
  • Coordinate with colleagues to determine content effectiveness, including content influences on customer actions, to inform how we can improve our planning and execution.


About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
  • Bachelor's, Marketing/Journalism/English degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of related experience in B2B marketing. Experience in or knowledge of the Intellectual Property or Life Sciences industries preferred.
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills (A writing sample will be requested)


About the Team

This is a small but mighty team! You'll work closely with your manager to ensure that the Consumer Manufacturing and Technology division has what they need to meet the needs of sales and marketing teams. You will also partner very closely with the field marketing and demand generation team colleagues within the CMT marketing team. As a member of the marketing team, you'll be part of the global organization interacting with marketing professionals from Europe to Asia and the US.
